What are Rewards?
Mercari Rewards were launched to create another benefit to shopping on Mercari. Users can accrue Points based on purchases (excluding delivery, shipping, fees, and taxes). Until 8/31/2023, you can redeem your Points for Rewards in the Rewards Center for stickers (and coupons for Mercari purchases available for some users). After 8/31, the Mercari Rewards beta program will end and Points may no longer be redeemed or accrued.
How long is the Mercari Rewards beta program available?
On 8/31, the Mercari Rewards beta program is ending. Until this date, you can exchange Points in the Rewards Center. After 8/31, Reward Points may not be redeemed and you will no longer accrue points.
After the Mercari Rewards beta program ends, will I lose my accrued points?
No. Any points you have will be eligible for roll over into a future program.
When will the Mercari Rewards program return?
We don’t yet have a confirmed date to relaunch the Mercari Rewards Program. We’re continually improving our Mercari Rewards program and are currently assessing other rewards options. Please note that Rewards and Point pricing of a future program, including coupons, are subject to change as we consider new reward options.
Can anyone participate?
At this time, participation is limited to a randomly selected group of registered users. Those in the selected group will automatically be eligible to earn Points and will need to Redeem their points for Rewards. We hope to broaden the audience in the future, but do not have specific timing to do so.
How do I earn Points?
You can earn 10 Points for each $1 spent on an item’s purchase price. You will not earn points for delivery, shipping, fees, or tax.
Do all my Mercari purchases qualify?
Yes - no exclusions apply. Points are based on item price (delivery, shipping, fees, and tax do not earn points). Note - there is no minimum purchase price to qualify.
Are there any limitations on how many Points I can earn?
No - we want to reward you for being a loyal Mercari customer!
Do points expire?
No - as long as you remain a registered customer in good standing. For more information on accounts not in good standing, please see Mercari's Terms of Service, Section 9. Limitation, Suspension or Termination, which can be found HERE.
Do Rewards Coupons expire?
Rewards coupons are valid for 10 calendar days after issuance. Given that, we recommend redeeming Points for Rewards when you have a purchase in mind. Please note that Rewards Coupons are only available until August 31, 2023 as part of the Mercari Rewards beta program. You may not be able to redeem points for coupons in a future rewards program.
Can I earn Points while taking advantage of another promotion?
Yes, you can earn Points in conjunction with other promotions such as making a purchase using a coupon not related to Rewards.
When will my Points be posted to my account?
Points are posted when the transaction is complete - after the buyer has rated the seller.
How can I check my Points balance?
Go to Settings and select "Rewards" (similar to how you’d navigate to see available balance or coupons). You can also view your past earning and redemption activity there.
How many Points do I need to redeem for Rewards?

How do I redeem my Rewards coupon?
- 1. Shop on Mercari.
- 2. Continue to checkout.
- 3. Your highest value coupon will automatically be applied.
- 4. If you have earned more than 1 coupon, you can change which coupon you want to apply. Only one coupon can be applied per transaction.
Please note that Rewards are only available until August 31, 2023 as part of the Mercari Rewards beta program. You may not be able to redeem points for coupons in a future rewards program. Any points remaining after August 31, 2023 will be eligible to roll over into a future rewards program.
What happens to my Rewards coupon if my order is canceled?
Your coupon will be returned to your account immediately and will be available to apply to another purchase. The expiration date for the coupon will be updated based on the day the coupon is returned to your account.
Can I redeem my Points for cash?
No, Points can only be redeemed for Rewards and have no cash value.
Can I redeem my Points for anything other than a coupon?
Res! Points may be redeemed for exclusive Mercari chat stickers.
Why don't I have access to Mercari Rewards on my account?
We’re currently running a beta version of our rewards program and expect to roll it out to more users soon as the feature is being tested.
