    The Mercari Authorized Reseller program allows eligible sellers to easily sync listings from select e-commerce inventory management services to reach more buyers in select categories.

    Eligibility

    • Sellers using select Inventory Management Services
      Professional sellers currently using a participating inventory management provider, like WholeCell or Quipt, are invited to apply to the Authorized Reseller Program.

      Reach out to authorized.reseller.program@mercari.com if you are a current WholeCell or Quipt subscriber.

    • High-volume sellers
      If you're a high-volume seller looking to manage your inventory better, we encourage you to register with a participating inventory management provider, like WholeCell or Quipt. Once approved to sell through the inventory management service, you may apply for the Mercari Authorized Reseller program.

    Currently, the Mercari Authorized reseller program is a category-specific program*. Professional sellers must already have an active account with one of a participating inventory management provider when applying to be considered for the program.

    Getting Started

    If you’ve been selected to participate, please complete the following steps to get started selling on Mercari:
    • Register on Mercari
      1. Download the Mercari app
        2. If you haven’t already done so, start by downloading the Mercari app (iOS|ANDROID).

      2. Sign up for a Mercari account
        3. If you have an existing Mercari account, please submit the Authorized Reseller application form found via email (assuming you've completed steps 3-6).

      3. Add your address to your Mercari profile
        4. Complete your address profile on your Mercari account.
        Note: Be sure to use information that matches your e-commerce inventory management account (ie. Your WholeCell or Quipt account).

      4. Add your payment methods to your Mercari profile
        5. Add a payment method on your Mercari account.

      5. Verify your Identity
        6. Complete ID Verification in the Mercari app. Note: ID verification is not available on Mercari.com, only in the Mercari app.

      6. Complete your W-9
        7. Fill out your W-9 form in the Mercari Tax Center.

    • Review Terms of Service
      • Before becoming an Authorized Reseller, you must review and agree to Mercari’s Terms of Service.

    • Apply to be a Mercari Authorized Reseller
      • Once registered on Mercari, apply to be a Mercari Authorized Reseller by submitting the Authorized Reseller application form found via email.

      Our team will review your application within 10 business days, and you’ll receive a response via email.

    • Merge your Authorized Reseller and Mercari accounts
      • If your application is approved, you can sync your Mercari account through the e-commerce inventory management website.

    Start selling

    Once you’re approved as an Authorized Reseller, sync your e-commerce inventory management (e.g. WholeCell or Quipt account) and Mercari accounts. With your accounts integrated, you can easily list and manage your inventory on Mercari.

    Steps to sync accounts

    1. Navigate to your e-commerce inventory management account and find the Mercari integration feature

    2. Log into your Mercari account

    3. Ensure pop-ups are allowed
      You should see a pop-up stating requesting access from your e-commerce inventory management service.”

    4. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
      Hit ‘Allow Access’

    Tips for selling success

    • Managing your Inventory

      Easily manage your inventory, including uploading, updating, or activating listings, on your e-commerce inventory management account (e.g. WholeCell or Quipt).


    • Use clear images
      Take clear, well-lit images or use stock photos. The usage restrictions on stock photos do not apply to the Authorized Reseller Program.

    • Shipping

      Please ship your item within 3 days. See our packaging guidelines for tips on carefully packing phones.


    • Getting paid
      Transfer your earned funds from Mercari directly to your account using bank transfer (2-3 business days).
