PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE MERCARI REWARDS PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE AS DESCRIBED BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR PARTICIPATE IN THE MERCARI REWARDS PROGRAM.
These Mercari Rewards Terms and Conditions (“Rewards Terms”) apply to your access to and participation in the Mercari Rewards program (“Mercari Rewards”), which is operated by Mercari, Inc. or its affiliates (collectively, ”Mercari”, ”our”, ”us” or ”we”). These Rewards Terms do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with Mercari for other products and services. Please note that your access to and participation in Mercari Rewards is also governed by the terms, conditions, limitations, and requirements linked in these Rewards Terms, all of which (as may be changed over time) are incorporated into these Rewards Terms. In addition, these Rewards Terms complement and incorporate by reference the Mercari Terms of Service (“Mercari Terms”). In the event of any conflict between the Mercari Terms and these Rewards Terms, the Mercari Terms will control.
Mercari reserves the right to change, modify or eliminate Mercari Rewards or all or any portion of these Rewards Terms or any policy pertaining to Mercari Rewards at any time and in our sole discretion, including our right to discontinue or change the benefits or change the expiration date of Rewards Points (defined below) or Rewards Coupons (defined below) received under Mercari Rewards, merge Mercari Rewards with another rewards program, or to adjust how Rewards Points are earned, calculated or redeemed. It is possible that you may be unable to receive enough Rewards Points to redeem a Rewards Code if we discontinue Mercari Rewards or merge Mercari Rewards into another rewards program. If we make changes, we will post the amended Rewards Terms to the Mercari Rewards Program Terms and Conditions page and update the “Effective Date” above. We may also attempt to notify you in other ways. Unless we say otherwise, the amended Rewards Terms will be effective immediately and your continued participation in Mercari Rewards after the amended terms are posted will confirm your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the amended Rewards Terms, you must stop participating in Mercari Rewards.
Rewards Program Eligibility
You must be a United States resident who is at least 18 years of age to participate in Mercari Rewards. Mercari Rewards is intended for personal use only, and commercial use by commercial customers and others purchasing items for resale are not eligible to participate in Mercari Rewards. Current Mercari employees and contractors, and their immediate family members living in the same household, are not eligible to participate in Mercari Rewards.

Mercari Rewards Description
Mercari Rewards is a free customer loyalty program that allows participants to earn ”Rewards Points” with qualifying purchases on Mercari. Participants in Mercari Rewards may redeem accumulated Rewards Points for ”Rewards Coupons” that can be used toward purchasing merchandise on Mercari and may also use the Rewards Points for other purposes as may be provided by Mercari from time to time. Additional benefits also may be made available to Mercari Rewards members from time to time. These Rewards Terms provide a general overview of Mercari Rewards. For more information about earning, calculating or redeeming Rewards Points, Promotional Activities, and other details, please visit our Mercari Rewards Page.
Joining Mercari Rewards
There are no membership fees associated with Mercari Rewards.
A limited group of Mercari users will be selected to join Mercari Rewards. Once you are enrolled in Mercari Rewards, you can view and manage your Mercari Rewards membership (“Rewards Membership”) by logging into your Mercari Account. You may only have one Rewards Membership, and it is non-transferable. You are responsible for anyone else who uses your Rewards Membership.
Earning Rewards Points
You earn Rewards Points by making qualifying purchases on Mercari.
In order to receive Rewards Points for a purchase, your order must be placed in the Mercari Account that is associated with your Rewards Membership. You will earn Rewards Points based on the final price of your purchase, excluding any tax and shipping costs and excluding any purchases to the extent made with Rewards Codes. Redemption of Rewards Points
Until August 31, 2023, you can redeem Rewards Points for Rewards Coupons, which can be applied toward future purchases on Mercari. For more details on redeeming Rewards Points for Rewards Coupons (including the redemption rate), please visit our Mercari Rewards page. Rewards Coupons are only issued in whole $1 increments. You can redeem your Rewards Points for Rewards Coupons by logging into your Mercari Account and accessing “Rewards” in Settings.
Effective September 1, 2023, the Mercari Rewards beta ends. You will no longer be able to redeem points for rewards. We’re currently assessing our options to improve Mercari Rewards to launch the program in the future. Please note, any Points you have left after 8/31 will be eligible for roll over into a future program. Rewards and Point pricing of a future program, including coupons, are subject to change as we consider new reward options.
There are no plans to include coupons in the future program.
Expiration of Rewards Points and Codes
REWARDS POINTS DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE. MERCARI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD AN EXPIRATION DATE AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION. REWARDS COUPONS EXPIRE TEN (10) DAYS FROM THE DATE THEY ARE SENT TO YOU. SOME REWARDS CODES MAY NOT BE COMBINED WITH OTHER OFFERS OR PROMOTIONS.
Impact of Merchandise Returns on Your Rewards Points and Rewards Coupons
If you return merchandise that you purchased with your Rewards Coupons in accordance with the Mercari Return Policy, you will be refunded the amount you paid (excluding the value of the Rewards Coupons and any other discounts) to the original method of payment, after we process your return in accordance with our Return Policy. For example, if you placed an order totaling $100 for one item and used a $10 Rewards Coupon, we will refund $90 to your original method of payment. Rewards Coupons are for one-time use only. You will not receive a replacement Rewards Coupon for returned merchandise and Mercari will not credit the redeemed Rewards Points back to your Rewards Membership.
Miscellaneous
Without notice to you, Mercari reserves the right to suspend or terminate your participation in Mercari Rewards (in whole or in part), if Mercari determines in its sole discretion that you have violated these Rewards Terms, you have more than one Rewards Membership, or that the use of your Rewards Membership or your participation in Mercari Rewards is unauthorized, abusive, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful. Mercari may, in its sole discretion, suspend, cancel or combine Rewards Memberships that appear to be duplicative. In the event that your participation in Mercari Rewards is terminated, you may not be able to redeem any accumulated Rewards Points.
